A hot meal reads as a proper meal in a way a cold one does not, which matters more than it sounds when you are eating less than usual. Soup is also slow to eat, and eating slowly gives the fullness signal time to arrive.

Diet Soups Q&As

Is diet soup filling enough to be a meal?

It is if it is formulated as one. These are high in protein and fibre rather than being thin broths, which is what makes a 200 kcal bowl hold until the next meal. A standard tinned soup of the same calories generally will not.

Do I mix the soup with water or milk?

Hot water, as directed on the pack. The calorie figures on each product page assume water — making it with milk adds calories that are not accounted for in your plan.

Can I have soup every day?

Yes. Many people use soup as their standing lunch because it needs only a kettle. Alternate between the flavours, or use the Variety pack, so it does not become monotonous.

Are the soups gluten-free?

Some are, and each product page lists allergens and dietary suitability. Check the individual soup, as it varies across the four.
